  1. How much time is required to visit the park?

    Two and a half hours for a fit person and four hours to visit the forest as well.

  2. Can we bring food and drinks with us for the day?

    Water is allowed but food and drinks are not allowed in the park.

  3. Are there baby changing facilities?

    Yes, near the Equipment room and at La Citronelle Restaurant.

  4. Can children do zipline?

    Yes, children from 8 years old can safely do zipline and their parents can also accompany them.

  5. Do we see animals during the visit?

    Yes, we have an animal farm, which consists of local animals such as cows, sheep, goats, hen and ducks, which describes how Mauritian farming was performed long ago. We also have the Giant Tortoise that you will be able to see and play with. If you are lucky you can see free-roaming animals like wild deer, peacocks, monkeys, endemic birds, exotic birds, coloured lizards.

  6. What should visitors wear?

    Sports clothes, comfortable shoes, trail shoes, casual clothes.

  7. Can we swim in the park?

    Yes, it is possible to swim at the private waterfall “ Cheveux d’Anges”, under supervision.

  8. How fit do I have to be?

    You will never be forced to do anything uncomfortable doing. All fitness levels are welcomed.

  9. What are the hours of operation?

    We are open from 9 am to 5 pm everyday of the week

  10. Where is La Vallee des Couleurs located ?

    In the Wild South of Mauritius, at Chamouny. Around 1 km downstream to the south east of Bassin Blanc volcano.

  11. Is La Vallee des Couleurs wheelchair accessible?

    Not all areas are wheelchair accessible but we promise to make the visit of each of our visitor an incredible experience. We have at your disposal Jeeps that can take disabled people around.

  12. What is the cancellation policy?

    It is possible to cancel in advance.

  13. Is it possible to change the dates of my visit?

    Yes, it is possible to change

  14. What are the rates for adults, children and infants?

    You can please check our pricelist to have all the rates.

  15. Is it possible to eat at La Vallee des Couleurs?

    Yes, you can eat at the cafeteria and La Citronelle Restaurant.

  16. What languages do your guides speak?

    English, French, Hindi, Arabic, Urdu.

  17. Is there wifi?

    Common areas like the reception and cafeteria are equipped with wifi.

  18. Am I allowed to pick flowers of fruits in the ark?

    This is strictly not allowed. We would prefer you leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but pictures and the experience.

  19. What is the admission fee for La Vallee des Couleurs?

    Please check our pricelist concerning all our prices.

  20. Am I allowed to go off-trail?

    We recommend that you stay on the established trail for your own safety so as not to get lost and to prevent damage to the soils and ecosystem.

  21. Are there trash cans in the park?

    Yes, there are some trash cans at some specific places but we advise you to pack out all garbage as garbage consists a serious risk to the health and life of our animals

  22. Is there a lost and found?

    No, but people ask staff members occasionally to leave found items at the reception.
